What should I expect at the session?

Newborn swaddled sessions usually last around an hour. When you get to my studio, I will get your little one swaddled and will take pictures with a variety of backgrounds and wrap colors and styles. I typically plan three different set-ups so you get a selection of unique images to choose from.

How many pictures do you get?

Swaddled Newborn Sessions include 5 digital images with a print release. Additional images may be available for purchase for $25 each through your proofing gallery.

What is a proofing gallery?

After your session, I go through all the pictures I take. I delete any duplicates, images that are out of focus, awkward expressions, or are otherwise not up to my professional standards. These images are uploaded to your initial proofing gallery for you to choose which images you would like to include with your session. I try to narrow it down to around 15-20 images for your proofing gallery to keep it from being too overwhelming to make decisions. Once you’ve made your choices, I put each of those images through my editing process and deliver the final images to you.

Can we include family and sibling pictures?

Absolutely! Family and/or sibling pictures can be included as part of your Swaddled Package.

When is the best time to schedule?

These sessions are best scheduled within the first three weeks after baby is born. I recommend contacting me well before baby is due so I can hold a spot on my calendar for you. I will put your due date on my calendar and then once baby arrives I ask that you contact me within the first 72 hours to set up a day and time for your session. However, I do often have last minute availability if your little one has already arrived!
