You survived that first day of kindergarten. Your baby learned to read. Made friends. Maybe they learned how to play an instrument or played a sport. And now they are SENIORS! They are about to spread their wings and fly. If there is any milestone in a kid's life it is their final year of school!

Senior pictures have come a long way since I was in high school. Gone are the days of draping some smelly black swoop of fabric over your shoulders and holding a fake rose (if you know, you know). The possibilities are endless with senior photos now. Let's plan something special for your baby.

Where and when are sessions held?
Senior sessions are schedule for an outdoor location of your choice. If there is a place that is particularly meaningful for your senior, that's great! Otherwise I am happy to make some suggestions. I try and schedule senior sessions on weekend evenings about 2 hours before sunset.
When do I need to schedule our session?
Lots of high schools have deadlines to submit yearbook photos - usually around the beginning of November. Definitely check with your school for their requirements. Most of my clients book senior photos for the summer after their Junior year or in the first month or two of their Senior year.
Can parents and siblings be in pictures too?
We can grab one or two quick pictures with siblings and/or parents, but the majority of these sessions is focused on your senior. If you're interested in a family session, you can find more information here: https://drawinginlightphotography.com/families
Who gets to pick which images are included in our gallery?
After your session I look through all the images from your session. I delete any duplicates, images with awkward expressions, out of focus images, and any others that are not up to my professional standards.
I put the rest through my editing process and upload them to your online gallery. The amount
of images depends on how the session goes is, but I always try to get at least 25 images for you! Many times with senior sessions I get lots more.
Will you edit out my teenager's acne?
I retouch each image that is in your gallery. I have lots of experience minimizing the appearance of acne and other normal teenage ailments. I want you to be able to look back at these photos and see your teenager's personality shine through - not just their zits.
Can we incorporate my senior's extra-curriculars into the photos?
Absolutely! I love when seniors bring along important pieces of who they are. I've had clients bring musical instruments, sports equipment, even an airplane. We can plan our session around what is important to your kid.
