Think back to the day your baby was born and how tiny they were. How much have they grown and changed since?
Your baby has gotten bigger. Maybe they have those adorable belly rolls or the chunkiest thighs you've ever seen. Maybe they got a new tooth, or they finally mastered sitting up on their own. Undoubtedly their little personalities have begun to shine through. Maybe they are silly, maybe they are serious. Either way your little one is growing up!
Milestone sessions are perfect for documenting all those big changes in your little one's life.

Preparing for a photo session doesn't have to be stressful. I can take care of all the details of your milestone session. You tell me colors that you love, any special requests, and I will do the rest. I even have a client closet with little outfits I can pull from that photograph beautifully!

Where and when are sessions held?
Sessions can take place in my studio year-round or outdoors from April through October. We can talk about what the best option is for your little one.
When is the best time to schedule a milestone session?
Typically, milestone sessions take place at, 3, 6, and 9 months. But they can be scheduled any time during your baby's first year!
Can parents and siblings be in pictures too?
We can grab one or two quick pictures with siblings and/or parents, but the majority of these sessions is focused on baby. If you're interested in a family session, you can find more information here: https://drawinginlightphotography.com/families
Who gets to pick which images are included in our gallery?
After your session I look through all the images from your session. I delete any duplicates, images with awkward expressions, out of focus images, and any others that are not up to my professional standards.
I put the rest through my editing process and upload them to your online gallery. The amount
of images depends on how cooperative your little one is, but I always try to get at least 20 images for you!
What if my baby doesn’t cooperate?
I am a very go-with-the-flow photographer. If your little one needs some time at the beginning of the session to get used to new surroundings, that's totally okay. I always block out extra time for these sessions so you never feel rushed. I follow baby’s lead through the session and take as many breaks as we needs for baby to eat or snuggle. If your little one still isn’t cooperating with our session even though all their needs are being met, there will be the option to try again another day to get enough images to fill your gallery.
