Most of the time the people who contact me for newborn sessions are new parents or new parents-to-be. But every once in a while I get a really excited grandma that contacts me to schedule a session for her baby and THEIR new baby. Miss Samantha has the sweetest most excited grandmother I’ve ever met. From the first time we talked on the phone, I knew we were going to get along just fine.

Miss Samantha is a very special baby. Her parents had quite the journey to welcome her to their family and she made up for it with sweetness. She slept for her entire newborn session and was just so content! Samantha was the kind of baby that newborn photographers dream of.

And even though she was in a deep sleep for her whole session, she still rewarded me with some of the biggest smiles I’ve ever been able to capture! And that smile lit up her whole face.

Although my studio is stocked with everything we need for a newborn session, I’m always happy to incorporate special items from home as well. Samantha’s mom brought an adorable fluffy tutu and a special stuffie that she wanted to incorporate into a couple images. And just look how adorable they turned out!

I could have stayed and photographed Miss Samantha all day long. She was so sweet and her parents and her grandma were super wonderful to work with. I hope they give me the chance to photograph her again as she grows!
