Kings Island Family Session
If I am not taking pictures or playing mom taxi, you can probably find me at Kings Island during the summer. So when this fun family asked about doing a family session at my home away from home, I gave them a resounded “YES!”
We started with some “regular” pictures at an out of the way spot. I wanted to make sure they had some non-theme park pictures to go along with fun ones. This also gave me a chance to get to know the kids a little bit and for everyone to warm up to being in front of the camera. And then it was time for the real fun to begin!
What is a trip to Kings Island without a ride on the KI & Miami Valley Railroad train!?? We got lucky and managed to grab some seats facing each other so I could capture these fun moments between them. I love seeing personalities really shine through in family sessions!
It was a busy day at the park, but we had a great time wandering and taking pictures. And of course we had to grab some shots on and in front of some of their favorite rides!
It is virtually impossible to walk around Kings Island with two little boys and NOT stop at the arcade. I loved the lighting in here! There were so many fun colors to play with in the pictures.
If you let the boys visit the arcade, they will ask to play some other games too!
Our next stop around the park was the carousel. I’m pretty sure this was the first ride of the season for me on this ride. My own kids are more into “bigger, faster, taller” and I really miss our carousel days!
What would a trip to Kings Island be without blue ice cream? It is iconic Kings Island! Libby, the mom of this family, owns a FANTASTIC bakery called It Takes the Cake and makes the best decorative sugar cookies.
