Newborn Swaddled Sessions are a relatively new session option, and are quickly becoming some of my favorite sessions. You still get adorable newborn portraits with a little bit less of a time and financial commitment. Regular newborn sessions generally last two to three hours, but these swaddled sessions usually have you in and out of the studio in less than an hour. And when you are sleep deprived and healing from giving birth, sometimes all you want to do is sit at home and relax.
With swaddled sessions, baby stays nice and wrapped up and cozy the entire time. I use a base wrap and change the outer layer so they are comfortable and usually pretty happy for the entire session. But we are still able to get a variety of really beautiful portraits of your new little one!
If baby falls asleep or is calm, we can even get a peak at those tiny baby fingers and toes!
And this sweet girl made my job so easy for her newborn session. She was happy to be wrapped up, and even gave us some glimpses of her beautiful little eyeballs. I was thrilled her parents asked to incorporate blue into her session as well. This blue floral drop is one of my favorites and it doesn’t get used nearly enough. The drop and this basket both came from my favorite vendor Hello Little Props. I’m pretty sure I mention them in like every post because they are just that awesome. You can check them out HERE.

I love the peeks of fingers and toes… it’s those small details that parents want to remember their littleness.
