Being a newborn photographer is the life dream I never knew I needed. I’ve been an elementary school teacher, a call center employee, and a stay at home mom but being able to snuggle and photography tiny babies during a newborn session is by far my favorite job ever. (Okay, being a mom is pretty dang awesome, but being a stay at home mom is freaking hard!! Kudos and props and respect to all the stay at home parents out there!)
Being able to meet and snuggle and work with these tiny clients is the best job ever! And Mr Myles was one of the sweetest little ones I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. He was just as sweet as he looks in this picture. I had a great time working with him and his amazing parents. The amount of love and adoration his mom and dad have for him already just oozed out in the pictures!
I love capturing babies in their parent’s hands. It just shows how impossibly tiny they are!
I also have a soft spot for a snuggled up and swaddled little baby. They always look so cozy and comfy to me. And how adorable is that tiny little teddy bear?!?
This blue backdrop is one of my favorites in my collection. I reach for it a lot – it’s just such a pretty shade of blue and complimented Mr Myles’ skin tone so perfectly! It is from my favorite backdrop vendor, Hello Little Props. You can find their entire collection on their website at http://www.hellolittleprops.com .
This bucket is also from Hello Little Props. It’s such a cool system – would you believe I didn’t move Mr. Myles at all between these two shots? I changed the outer part of the bucket and the flooring without disturbing him at all. It’s a great way to get two different looks very easily!
One thing Mr. Myles’ parents requested for their session was to incorporate the Cleveland Browns. I’m a Cincinnati girl at heart, so I won’t hold that against them. I am always happy to help parents’ visions come to life in photographs and I was happy with how these turned out!
I also surprised his parents with a few fun digital creations in their final gallery. They mentioned during his session that Mr. Myles’ nursery was done in moon and stars and I had the perfect digital backdrop for the job!
They also mentioned that they were big Disney fans and Mr. Myles’ dad also actually owns a local restaurant that shares the same name as a certain Disney movie, so I absolutely had to find something special for them too! (If you’ve never been, you should 100% go have a meal at Aladdin’s Eatery (https://aladdins.com/). Try the baba gannouj. You won’t be disappointed!
