When this guy’s mom contacted me and asked to do a Winnie the Pooh cake smash, I was so excited. Somehow in all these years of doing cake smashes, I have never had a Winne the Pooh theme! Can you believe it? This sweet guy and I took turns being sick and needing to reschedule our session but I think it was worth the wait!
Did you know that cakes freeze really well? This guy needed an allergy friendly cake and his mom found one at a local bakery called Chubby Bunny Bakery (https://www.chubbybunnybakery.com/). So mom just popped it in the freezer and saved it for when we finally got to see each other!
I was excited to have a reason to do some crafting for this session too. I made the honey pots, the bee hive, and the 100 Aker Woods sign. I love being able to create one of a kind items for my cake smash sessions!
Mr. L was a little hesitant to dig into his adorable cake at first. I keep wooden spoons in the studio for just this occasion! This is pretty common for babies having their first experience with cake, but I can usually count on them to enjoy playing with the spoon at least!
It took a little coaxing, but eventually Mr. L dug into his cake! He was such a calm and collected smasher. Nothing seemed to phase him too much at all!
I can hardly believe it’s been an entire year since Mr. L came to visit me as a newborn. He’s grown so much! I love it when my tiny clients come back to celebrate their first birthdays!
