Cake smash sessions are such a fun way to celebrate a baby’s first birthday! And I love designing unique sets for each session. No two cake smashes are exactly the same! For this celebration, mom requested a Boho theme which is super popular right now. I’m a sucker for a good macramé so I was particularly excited for this one.

Miss Rosemary was so super sweet. She was all smiles for our session and we had the best time in the studio. As soon she stepped into my studio I was enamored with her big beautiful eyes too!

After a few regular pictures, it was time to break out the cake! As much as I love colorful elaborate cakes, this simply frosted cake was perfect for this set-up. Isn’t it beautiful?

It didn’t take long for Miss Rosemary to dig into her cake. She was a little suspicious at first. A whole cake just for her?? But after a little coaxing and giving her a spoon to use she dug right in!

Doesn’t she look like she’s having the best time?? Eventually she ditched the spoon and dug right in! She was the best smasher I’ve had in quite a while. I’m not sure how much cake actually made it into her mouth, but we were all covered in cake and frosting by the end!

I love when they put their little feet in the cake! Frosting covered toes are my favorite!
