I am a babywearing educator and on the Board of Directors for Cincinnati Babywearing Society. (You can check us out and join our Facebook chatter group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CincinnatiBabywearingSociety ) Almost every single one of my friends I met through that group, and Zeshawn’s mom is no exception. Babywearing may have introduced us, but his mom is my best friend.
With covid, I didn’t have the chance to see this little guy during his first year as often as I would have liked. I feel like I missed lots of milestones! That made photographing his first birthday even that much more special. And isn’t he a cutie?
I mean, that wispy brown hair and those deep brown eyes are so perfect. And his cheeks are so pinchable. And he looked so great with all the blues and golds in his cake smash set-up!
When we were planning his session, we had planned on doing a whipped cream smash. Zeshawn still thinks food is pretty overrated. But at the last minute, his mom decided to bring a cake. And I’m so glad she did!
Apparently frosting was an acceptable treat. I don’t disagree, Zeshawn. I’m quite the fan myself. I’m not sure he actually ate any of the cake, but that’s pretty typical with cake smash sessions!
My favorite part of this whole thing is Zeshawn kept putting his toes into the cake and then picking the frosting off his feet. I was laughing so hard during this session.
It was so much fun to celebrate this guy’s first trip around the sun with this blue and gold themed cake smash! I am looking forward to returning to normal and being able to snuggle and play with Zeshawn on his 2nd trip around the sun.
