Mr Jackson was born right as everything was shutting down due to covid. We ended up having to put off his newborn session until he was already two months old. But I am so glad that we were able to do his first birthday cake smash session right on time!

His mom chose “Wild One” as the theme for his celebration and I had fun planning and putting together this special set for him. Any time I can incorporate greenery into a set I am a happy lady. Plants make me happy.

After blowing raspberries at each other and playing catch with a pinecone, it was finally time for CAKE. Mom opted to bake her own cake and it was PERFECT for our set!

Jackson was a big fan of his cake. I don’t think I’ve ever had a baby who just sat and happily played and ate cake as well as Jackson did. He made my job SOO easy! And can we talk about that little foot in his cake? I love when babies do that! Baby toes are the best!

I hope Mr. Jackson has a much more “normal” 2nd trip around the sun. I will be so happy when life can return to normal and I can let these babies see my smiling face without a mask as I photograph theirs. Until then I follow all CDC guidelines to keep all my tiny clients as safe as possible! Your safety is always my number one priority.
